Making It Official

Got two girls ready this morning and ran out of time for me to shower!  They look good, though.

We went back to the civil affairs office today to finish up a paperwork and have things notarized.

Lots of waiting time. But it's official. She is a Richert. She went from foundling to daughter!  The office presented us with a beautiful doll dressed is traditional clothing of the area.

Then it was back to the hotel hang out. We wandered around the city. Found a mall with a Subway shop. Went to a local grocery store.

We did try the cucumber flavored potato chips. Weren't brave enough to get the Italian beef flavored ones!

The rest of the week we are waiting for Jessica's passport to be processed.  Then we fly to Guangzhou on Friday to take care of all the paperwork at the American consulate.

Our little treasure had a pretty good day. She won't take a bottle. Her foster mom says that she hasn't had one since her surgery at 5 months old. That just doesn't sit well with this momma. So we are trying to reintroduce it. She eats from a spoon like a trooper. And loves the fruits that we give her when we eat -- especially the watermelon.

Thanks again for praying for us!  We appreciate all your love and support!
